Julie Kiddoo grew up in Long Lake, Minnesota, a suburb just west of Minneapolis. After graduating from The University of Minnesota, Julie took a year off and found herself living in Vail, working as a Vail Lift Operator. There she met Tom Kiddoo, her husband who helps her in running the yoga studio. During that time Julie started her own gardening business, Bedwetters.
Julie first dabbled in yoga when she was pregnant with her first child, Charlie, in 2002, doing prenatal yoga tapes at home. 2007 was a challenging year for Julie and Tom. Tom had a major career change and also lost his father. Julie felt like she was coming apart at the seams and knew that she was the only one who had the power to change her life. That’s when she found Baptiste Yoga. After Julie’s first Baptiste yoga class, Julie felt something different. She was touched, moved and inspired in a way that she had never been before. After practicing yoga for over a year and doing Baron Baptiste’s 40 days to Personal Revolution a few times, Julie attended her first teacher training with Baron Baptiste in 2009. Training with Baron unlocked doors for Julie that she never thought possible. Julie’s life was forever transformed after doing level 1 with Baron Baptiste. She let go of old baggage that had been weighing her down and left the program with a whole new sense of freedom and self-acceptance.
Since Julie’s first training, she has become a 500 certified Baptiste teacher, sharing her love of the practice. In January of 2012 Julie opened Revolution Power Yoga with Rachel Nelson, one of her first yoga teachers. In October of 2015, Julie became the sole owner of Revolution Power Yoga, a business that is based upon elevating, transforming, & empowering people so that they live in possibility, connection, and purpose.
